Pastor Jim Preaches at Dixon CC

On May 2, 2010 Pastor James Horvath preached at the Dixon Correctional Center in the Sunday morning Chapel.  Close to 300 men were in attendance to welcome the Pastor and get blessed by a great message on faith. Dixon CC has a wonderful worship team  andwe were able to join into the joy they expressed in their music as they led us in worship of the Lord.  We  do not know how many were saved or re-committed their lives to Christ because of the time constraints, but many did pray the sinners prayer at the closing of the service.  Many of the  men expressed to us later that they are looking forward to Pastor Jim returning to preach again.

PFM Dixon Area Meeting Held at Crossroads Church

May 1, 2010:   The Prison Fellowship Meeting of  the Dixon area  volunteers for Dixon Correctional Center held their meeting at the Crossroads Community Church in Rochelle.  Sharon and Larry Davis facilitated a discusion on the  needs, topics and growth  of the Saturday afternoon Bible study at Dixon CC.   Mary Johnson, PFM director in this and surrounding states discussed new in-prison programs in Illinois regarding Transformational Ministry, Reentry efforts, and Out4Life Conference of 2011 in Illinois.  We had 18 volunteers in attendance.   Anyone interesting in prison ministry or training programs should check out the PFM website at www.pfm.org or contact us here.
